Viewing the World From the Southern Hemisphere

New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere (south of the Equator). This world map is an alternative view of the world with the Southern Hemisphere on top. What do you think?

  5. Its confusing. I cant read it unless i do a headstand. Its weird looking at the top when it's really the bottom. The places are all mixed up.

  35. Hi Victoria,

Thanks for posting to the blog. I am still in the US now (at school in fact, learning about new ways to use technology in the library). I found the map on a map sellers site (odt.com). There are lots of ways to depict the world in maps. It is interesting to think about other ways of understanding the world through maps. How is your summer going? Have you read any good books this summer? I hope you will check back on the blog after July 13 (when I leave).
